We had a social evening this summer for Power Speakers and guests, hosted by Dorothy and Ken W. at their home in St. Albert. It was a humming, humorous and rocking success.

The evening theme was "Games Night ", games were placed strategically throughout the house from the front steps, through to the back deck, upstairs in the kitchen, and downstairs and in the back yard.  Choices were numerous including cribbage, crokinole, pool, WII. bocce ball, buzz, card aggravation (a patented game by a members father) etc, etc, etc, prizes were available for various categories---but none were awarded.  Only one game of pool was played. People got so involved in a guess "Who Am I "introduction, listening to the guitar-pickin', harmonica humming duo of Randy and Paul, the poetry recital by Lloyd, and the dancing dervish that the games fell to the wayside.

The hot, humid weather was a perfect environment for everyone  to enjoy the outdoors. Food was devoured at the first sign of dusk by those pesky little buzzing insects before the assault by numerous enemies of those small but mighty warriors.

Stay tuned for the next social event.

Will it be a games night?
